As a Swim Instructor at Talbot County Ymca, your role will involve leading swimming programs and delivering both individual and group lessons designed for children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who possess a strong enthusiasm for swimming, effective communication abilities, and a genuine talent for motivating young swimmers while nurturing their love and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Swim Instructor to join our team and contribute to our Talbot County Ymca located in Easton, MD.

Responsibilities
Provide swim instruction for students of varying ages and skill levels
Establish a safe and positive learning environment for all students
Assess student progress and offer feedback and guidance as necessary

Requirements
Previous experience working with students of all ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional capacity
Proficient swimming skills and knowledge of different swim strokes and techniques
Sound understanding of water safety and survival skills
Certification in CPR & First Aid (infant, child & adult)
Strong communication, organization, time management, and innovative teaching skills
Effective behavior management abilities to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
Experience in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous, showcasing an understanding of working with children in a structured environment
Passion for swimming and children as well as a genuine love for the sport
