As a Swim Instructor at YMCA of Hagerstown, you will lead swimming programs and provide customized individual and group lessons for children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who have a genuine passion for swimming, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to inspire young swimmers to love and respect the water. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team and support our YMCA of Hagerstown in Hagerstown, MD.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, giving feedback and guidance as needed

Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, especially in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills with knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, able to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is a plus, showing an understanding of working with children in a structured environment!
• A love and passion for swimming and children!
