As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfort in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety considerations
• Comfort in deep water with the ability to use watercraft (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water without hands for 2 minutes
• Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
