As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Able to use watercraft like surfboards or kayaks in deep water
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam including 550-meter open water swim
Experience with children preferred
Red Cross or WSI certification is a plus
Must be 18 years or older
