As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfort in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
• Ability to comfortably navigate deep waters and use watercraft such as surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
• Successful completion of lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water without hands for at least 2 minutes
• Preference for experience working with or teaching children
• Red Cross or WSI certification is preferred, but not required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
