As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with knowledge of safety precautions
• Ability to work in deep water and operate watercraft like surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
• Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water without hands for 2 minutes
• Preferably have experience working with or teaching children
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is a plus but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
