Personal Statement

I am a Washington-DC Metropolitan area artist and live in the United States. I started drawing my great aunt when I was younger than 3 years old. This was the starting point for my journey into the art world. Since then, I have come a long way, from high school era when I started to paint and illustrate movie posters for my classmates and neighbors. My favorite poster was Love Story with Ryan O’Neal and Ali McGraw which became my signature poster and I got two additional orders that year. I love depicting my imagination within my artwork. I always try to introduce new ideas, elements, and materials into my work. Developed and designed artwork for two successful exhibitions. My goal is to inspire students to apply the information and techniques they learn in my class to sharing their unique life perspectives.
