Medical Scribe & Ophthalmic Tech Intern Employment Opportunity

Interested in Ophthalmology and Optometry? Great opportunity for college students to gain experience at a fast paced well established state-of-the-art multi-physician ophthalmology private practice. Participation in this paid summer internship is open to current, graduating college and/or graduate students in the field of medicine and general healthcare. Extended opportunity available for qualified applicants to apply for full/part employment in the fall.
REQUIRENMENTS TO QUALIFY:
*Students must be enrolled in health care studies i.e.: pre-med/current medical student, optometry student and/or new graduate, ophthalmic technician, and medical assistant.
*Interest in the field of Ophthalmology
*Knowledge of medical scribe a plus
*Personal attributes: discipline, timeliness, reliability,
*Professional behavior with attributes of working in a team environment
*Good communication and people skills
*Compassion for patient service
*Eager to learn new and advanced technology
*Bilingual speaking is a plus.
LEARNING OPPORTUNITY
*Patient Care and in-take
*Skill learning and building as a medical scribe
*Knowledge of advanced ICD-10, CPT coding
*Ophthalmic Terminology
*Learning the use and functions of HVF, OCT, IOL Master and Fundus Photography
