About this Course

La diffusione dell'italiano nel mondo è veicolata da canzone, cinema, teatro, opera lirica, gastronomia, design che diffondono anche per la lingua un'immagine legata alle eccellenze italiane. Questo corso ti guiderà nella comprensione della lingua italiana, nel suo evolversi nell'uso quotidiano ed in rapporto alle diverse funzioni cui è destinata. Il fascino dell'italiano è di lunga durata, visto che nel tempo ha avuto ampia circolazione nel Mediterraneo e in Europa, grazie ai mercanti, ai banchieri, agli artisti e a letterati di primo piano (Dante, Petrarca e Boccaccio). Il corso presenta quindi diversi aspetti della "fortuna" dell'italiano nel mondo di oggi e offre uno sguardo in prospettiva storica sulle radici dell'italiano e sulle sue vicende come lingua di comunicazione e di cultura. Attraverso esempi e riferimenti ai diversi stili della comunicazione verbale, potrai testare la tua competenza linguistica e comprendere la variazione tra lingua parlata e lingua scritta e le diverse modalità comunicative. Italian language in the world The Italian language has spread around the world thanks to songs, cinema, theatre, opera, food and design, which means that the language itself is associated with the best of Italian production. This language course helps you understand the Italian language, and the way it has evolved in everyday speech, and in its other uses and functions. The Italian language has a long and fascinating history, as it was widely used in the Mediterranean and Europe by merchants and bankers, and leading artists and writers (Dante, Petrarca and Boccaccio). This course looks at diverse aspects of Italian in today’s world, and offers a historical perspective on its roots and its role as a language of communication and culture. Examples and references to diverse verbal communication styles enable you to test out your own linguistic competence and understand the differences between spoken and written language and forms of communication.
