My students call me Mr. Yamo! I am a Charlotte native and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Anthropology and History, with part of that time spent studying in Japan at Obirin University in Tokyo. With a Japanese father who adopted myself and my brother when I was a child, I have unknowingly been an ESL teacher for my father for many years.
