I am from Okinawa, Japan currently living in Utah. I recently graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii. I teach Japanese in my spare time. I used to teach English in Japan. The best way to learn a language is to enjoy speaking that language. Language is not that hard unless you don't practice. Making a mistake is no mistake, but afraid of making a mistake is a mistake! Nozomi is meeting with with my high school aged son and teaching him Japanese. She is patient, positive and comes prepared for the lessons. He?s really enjoyed learning from her.

Nozomi was such a legitimate way for putting Japanese concepts into action. I was able to learn greetings and the number system at home, and many concepts could be learned at home. But what makes Nozomi so special is that she is so polite and is the best at taking what you've learned and getting it to make sense. She constantly compares English and Japanese and using its similarities, can put lessons into a very simple idea.
