I have not had much experience with tutors throughout my college career. However, I really struggled with accounting. Thankfully, Michelle was there to guide me through. She was able to spend extra time with me when I needed so that I could understand the principles needed to pass my class.

I?ve had lessons with Michelle for a few weeks now. I honestly learn so much from her. She?s very kind and gives you tips on how to solve accounting problems. Book her if you want to pass your accounting class

I?m completely new to Quickbooks Online. I'm learning and understanding how to use Quickbooks Online for my family?s small business. After my first session with Michelle, I felt comfortable and confident that Michelle was able to: assist, provide accurate information, teach me about Quickbooks, how to address my current accounts in Quickbooks, and general things about bookkeeping. Michelle is friendly, patient, provides assistance and explanation, helps clarify and define terminology, via Wyzant messages she responds back reasonably quick, she?s on time and ends on time or several minutes afterwards, and I trust for her to keep financial information confidential. We did come across one minor issue about reporting, but she verified (she didn?t have to do that outside the tutoring session, but she did) that its because we are not paying for the payroll module so the option for reports are limited. In addition, she provided a work around for it if we still choose not to pay for the payroll module for additional reports from Quickbooks. I have only had a few sessions with Michelle so far and I definitely plan on continuing my tutoring sessions with her. And I have also recruited my father and brother to be tutored by her. I would highly recommend her for someone in my similar situation; small business, completely new to Quickbooks and bookkeeping, needing to make changes for transactions, reconciliation (things like that), how tos, and understanding Quickbooks. --- Before getting started with Wyzant, I looked at different options such as Varsity Tutors, Quickbook?s Certified ProAdvisor, Quickbook?s online videos/chats/ or you can call them for free. Waiting to get to someone over Quickbooks chat or phone call for assistance is usually under 5 minutes (from my experience). However, I think the main drawback of getting free assistance from them is that if you have multiple questions and you?re new to Quickbooks like me you?ll have a bunch of questions, jump around asking questions and trying to get a better understanding of what to do. I had to constantly get on and get off of chat or over the phone to be directed to the right person or if I?m still within the same topic I?ve encountered that majority of them need to ?look into it/ research it? and I wait about 8-13 minutes. Quickbook?s Certified ProAdvisor and Varsity Tutors, theres either a set minimum hours you need to pay for upfront and the cost that I?ve encountered ranged from $150-$250+ an hour. With Michelle and through Wyzant, the first one hour/session is free with no minimum hours that I need to pay up front. If I did not like this first session, I?m able to find another tutor and have another session with no charge. Going this route, I?m able to map out what I would like to focus on for the session (I prefer 2 hours sessions) and she is able to assist with everything even when I jump around. And each session is customized to what I need help with and making those direct changes in my Quickbooks, Also, I don?t have to wait for her to ?look into it/research it? like I do with Quickbooks chat or phone. As for technical issues, haven?t had any major issues or issues navigating Wayzant. I?ve had to change the sound settings on my end.

Chart of accounts, how to manage invoicing, adding bank accounts, entering checks, how to properly navigate quickbooks, editing chart of accounts. Michelle is very smart and knowledgeable, she answered all my questions and I will defiantly be scheduling more classes with her!
