Personal Statement

I am a current professor of statistics and psychology at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience in statistics, data science, and psychology. Specifically, I have over 10 years of experience tutoring and teaching, as well as conducting research and doing statistical data analysis.

Learning is a collaborative process, so my favorite aspect about tutoring is helping students uncover knowledge or skills that they did not know they possessed ...

Michael was one of few tutors I could find all over the internet who not only knew mplus, but thoroughly understood SEM. He is able to translate complex SEM concepts to beginners and helped to have a much better understanding of interpreting data output. He was patient as well. Highly recommend.

Presenting on an experimental research paper for class. Michael helped me translate the data section into language I understand! He also had great insights into how to organize my lecture and in what order would make the most sense to deliver the content. I'm not nearly as nervous as I was before!! Thank you, Michael!!

Michael clarified test procedures from the SPSS point of view, and the interest was mutual to keep this efficient and fast in the areas of Multiple Regression, Multiple Variables including Manova. It was required that Michael provided the proper order and APA style presentation.

Michael helped me understand and adjust my code in MPlus for moderation analyses using continuous and binary outcomes. Even professional statisticians need extra help and collaboration with others throughout our careers. I would recommend Michael to anyone, no matter your level of expertise. He makes complex topics incredibly understandable with his wide breadth of knowledge. I cannot wait to work with him in the future.

I reached out for a statistics tutor while in a crisis over a class that had me overwhelmed. Michael took me back to the very basics of the assignment and patiently navigated each question with me. After just one hour, it is beginning to make sense because of his explanations. I hope to continue to work with Michael the entire semester.
