Personal Statement

The Persian language has been an essential part of my career and life for over twenty years. For the past two decades, I have written as a journalist in the largest Persian-language newspapers and as a TV host on most popular television programs, and during these years, teaching correct writing and speaking was part of my job. I am a graduate of the University of Tehran in a field related to the Persian language, and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in this field in the United States.

One hour seems like ten minutes. I can't get enough. Meisam is my fourth Farsi tutor I have studied with on Wyzant. What separates him from my past tutors is his approach. He provides top notch material keeping us both engaged the whole time. He also uses great examples and won't leave a word or phrase until I get it. While my brain processes or it is struggling to process the information, Meisam keeps on providing examples. I'm a slow learner because I'm searching for a comprehensive understanding. But comprehensive understanding takes time and unfortunately many tutors lake the energy and patients to provide this quality of instruction. Meisam has lots of both.
