Personal Statement

I earned my bachelor's degree in accounting from Arizona State University. After I graduated, I began working at a CPA firm as a business accountant. I am enrolled at ASU to pursue my teaching certificate in foreign languages, particularly English, Spanish, and Russian. I enjoy tutoring students in language, though I also work with students in accounting, algebra 2, and other math-focused coursework. I enjoy finding new and unique ways to take complex material and transform it into something the student can readily understand. I believe tutoring is a partnership that requires ongoing communication. I choose my teaching strategies and materials based on the individual students learning style and interests.
