Marine has been very patient and helpful for my daughter, helping her prepare for the math SAT. She had great tips for how to approach math problems and has a good rapport with my daughter. Her help has been invaluable.

I found Marine over a year ago, and she has been problem-solving in my courses ever since. I'm a Master student (hopefully graduating in 10 days) and Marine has been helping through the ups and downs of my master program. She has assisted me with both advanced statistical analysis and the analyzation/developing of research methods papers. Marine has helped me so much with trigonometry in my second semester. It was very easy to get in contact with her and she made it very easy to schedule around her moderately busy schedule. Other than that, her tutoring skills are great! Bring her any type of problem and she will know exactly where to go with it. She makes it all very clear and makes sure I understand everything we work on. She keeps the session on task but she is not too strict or serious like many teachers, which makes it an enjoyable and relaxed experience to tutor with her. She will even help you out with a problem through text, and can explain just as well through texts. She will also not give up on a challenging problem and strives with the student to solve it, even if it takes away from some of her own time. It is easy to tell that she is passionate about the subjects she teaches. My grade last semester was a C+, and is almost an A this semester thanks to Marine. Looking back, this semester was much tougher than last semester in terms of concepts and work load, and Marine made it so much easier for me, even when only meeting up about once a week. Marine is an outstanding tutor who will make a tough class so much easier and even enjoyable!

Marine has an easy going approach and teaching style that put our son at ease. She consistently asks him if he understands the concepts and has him explain the process to her in his own words after finishing a problem. His test scores increased by 2 letter grades after beginning tutoring with Marine.

I haven't taken a math class in 16 years and am currently taking Statistics at UCLA. Marine is so wonderful. She makes learning so easy. She explains everything and then it all makes sense. She's clear, concise, kind, and a perfect teacher. She has actually made this terrifying experience really fun.
