Personal Statement

I knew since high school that I wanted to teach so I pursued a PhD in organic chemistry to meet that goal. I now have been teaching organic and general chemistry for 7 years at a 4-year liberal arts college in Claremont, CA. I began tutoring while in high school and continued into college. I have also been tutoring while teaching organic chemistry to undergraduates. I have a total of about 20 years tutoring in one capacity or another.
