I feel like so many creative blocks opened up after one lesson with Hilary. She's an expert at not only the technical aspects of the process but all the crazy ways I get in my own way. Super grateful for your encouragement and excited to continue this process. Thanks Hilary!!

Hilary is truly the absolute best. From start to finish of anything you are working on she is the ultimate teacher. Her skill level is incredible! She?s patient, very kind, meticulous, encouraging and you can always tell she cares about her students. She will go above and beyond to make sure you have the the knowledge and tools to complete and perfect whatever you are working on. It could be a personal project or full collection, Hilary had you covered. She has truly made my fashion dreams a reality & I don?t know what I?d do without her. She is worth every penny and then some. I can?t begin to thank her enough!!

Hilary is incredible. So smart, so knowledgeable and wants all of her students to succeed. She has helped me throughout the entire design process, from draping, to pattern making to sewing. She deserves 10 stars!
- Brenna A. from Los Angeles, CA
Hillary is amazing at guiding me with detailed instructions which is quite amazing online. She builds your confidence and is patient with her directions. I was not sure how online sewing would work but it appears to be successful! She is an exceptional teacher.
- Patricia G. from Deerfield Beach, FL
I love Hilary as both a teacher and a person! She is hilarious and will have you laughing the entire class. She is literally a dream come true for me as I?m a self taught seamstress who is in need of some guidance. With her help I have confidence that I can master and perfect my craft! Go Hilary!!!

Great lesson with Hilary! Not only is she extremely professional, she is also very knowledgeable of her craft and the workings of the fashion industry as a whole. Had a very hands-on/efficient lesson and already learned a lot of practical knowledge about draping/garment design. Can?t wait to learn more!
- Cecilia R. from Los Angeles, CA
Not only does Hillary have an in-depth knowledge and multiple years of experience in her field. She boosts an extensive education also. Such a joy to work with, but she will keep you on your ?toes?.
- Deborah E. from Shingle Springs, CA
Had the pleasure of meeting Hilary and she got me started in the right direction of how to copy my favorite pair of pants. Wish I had met Hilary before I started listening to misleading YouTube videos lol. Looking forward to taking more lessons.
- Kristian K. from Los Angeles, CA
We're working on making a dress from a picture and for the first lesson we dove right into the basics of draping. I'm using a stretch fabric so it's a little tricky. Hilary was very thorough in her explanations and I've learned so much already, thank you!
- Ann K. from Los Angeles, CA
Hilary is able to break down a lesson into clear, digestible, concise steps for me to execute, practice and move forward. Her ability to envision a project from multiple angles, foresee possible hindrances, creatively troubleshoot, field all my questions with patience, straightforwardness and enthusiasm- makes her a dream to work with. From pattern making to production, a lesson with Hilary is like having a variety of masterful specialists all in the same room, working in tandem - to help me learn whatever it is I wish/ need. Thoughtfully catering to my very specific goals and taking into consideration my established skillset ( which she was careful to assess from our initial consultation), this is the height of superior, customized education. Hilary?s style of communication displays exceptional character, wit, approachability and humor-devoid of any personality ills like pretension, posturing or condescension ( the triad of time waste i encounter all too often amongst industry ?professionals?). In addition to all the above, it is implied that Hilary has confidence in my ability to learn and succeed by means of NOT discouraging any of my endeavors/ideas or suggesting I set aim lower. This really sets Hilary apart, for where most others see difficulties, limitations , or even impossibilities- Hilary recognizes intriguing challenges. I leave each lesson feeling on top of my own little world, believing in myself again. Books can only take me so far, the internet is a black hole of excess- and fashion school is not for me on so many levels. I am beyond thrilled and feel very privileged to learn from Hilary, for as long she offers her tutoring.

I learned how to set up my machine and began sewing right away. Hilary was energetic and patient with me as I am a beginner. I am looking forward to learning more from her.

Hilary is SO knowledgable and helpful. I was very skeptical about doing virtual sewing/pattern-making lessons, but decided to give it a shot anyway. BOY am I glad that I did! I honestly forget that it's virtual because she's so good at making it seem like we are in person. She is very good at making things clear, whether explaining it or demonstrating it through different camera set-ups. She's very personable and friendly, and a wizard when it comes to this stuff. I'm so grateful that I've found her - HIGHLY recommend. I've only had 3 lessons so far and feel like I've learned so much!!!

Hilary is a beacon of light for anyone who?s interested/beginner/intermediate/advanced in sewing. Her passion and experience is so inspiring! Her lesson plans fit exactly what you personally are trying to get out of sewing. The light homework given is so comprehensive and efficient as well. Hilary was so quick to get in contact with me and adjust me into her schedule for something that works for both of us and I absolutely adore and cherish our lessons. You will never feel lost or overwhelmed with Hilary, and she is always keeping you updated with what you should buy/need along the way. 100% recommend choosing Hilary for any of your sewing endeavors!!

Hilary is the truest definition of "A Wealth Of Knowledge," she has decades of experience and what might even be a little obsession with her craft, and I love it. Seeing a master at work can be really intimidating, but Hilary has decided to take students on for the clear purpose of sharing the wealth. She immediately disarms any concerns because her desire to teach is out of her enjoyment as well, therefore all she wants to do is make sure you're successful at reaching your goal and has many MANY different ways to explain something to you; she will even pull items off of her current projects rack to give you a tactile example. She is still actively working while teaching, which I think is important. Also, I must note, as a human she is fascinating, fun, and fierce!!! Would give 100 out of 100 stars if possible.

Hilary is such a patient and understanding teacher! I was so nervous and confused about how to sew my final project and didn?t even know where to start but she helped me understand so well. She helped me make a list of the steps I?ll need to start sewing and even made little mock ups of my final garment to help me understand. She was also so flexible and understanding of my schedule, which was such a big help. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that needs help with a project or wants better understanding of all sewing and pattern making!
- Sivan P. from Jarbidge, NV
I reached out for a simple lesson in how to create a rolled hem with my serger. I was able to show close up pictures of what I sewed for feedback and she immediately identified and solved issues until my hem was correct. I would highly recommend this instructor for any sewing questions or other requests.

She's a hands-on demonstrator whose knowledge is absolutely incredible! I learned more in 1 hour with Hilary (and had fun) than I did in a semester of basic sewing classes.
- Erin T. from Bremerton, WA
Hillary is an expert at pattern drafting from measurements and is teaching me to make my own patterns. She explains things very well and is able to demonstrate her knowledge easily. If ypu have sewing/patterning issues, Hillary is the best!!
