Taught him about Bach and pacing himself, slowing down and listening. The lesson time made me very happy. Mr. Dan seems very knowledgeable about the piano and what method Daniel should begin with.

I found Dan to tutor ACT English/Reading for my friend's son who is an English learner and has hard of hearing problem. Dan taught him 21 lessons over three months. Dan is a responsible and patient tutor. He taught the student strategies of taking on the ACT problems. The student feels he is much better prepared now to take the coming ACT test.

Dan was was able to help me identify the difference of writing a policy paper from a research paper. He aligned the prompt to organize the outline of my paper which made sure I wrote about all the criteria covered in the paper. Dan had some knowledge about my topic and we were able to discuss the essence of my paper and write down questions to answer throughout the outline. Over the course of our sessions Dan was able to help me walk through the order of operations, re-understand algebra and geometry, and help me attack problems in the most effective ways. I brought my own set of problems and we really honed in on what to look for. Any tutor can tell you what the answer is, but he let me figure things out and bounce my questions off of him throughout the process of problem solving. Explaining with patience why I was wrong or right. I was able to get my Military Aptitude Test up to an acceptable score and my sessions with him helped get me to a point that I can comfortably navigate the next test I have to improve my score even more. I highly recommend bringing sample questions or tests that you can go through. Really spend time on the areas that you might feel are your weakest. For example, I was weak with exponents, inequalities, and solving for X. We tackled problems with these topics and other rules of mathematics. Bringing your own problems from test prep books or textbooks will give your sessions structure. I recommend Dan to other folks on this site!

Dan was so amazing with my son in preparing him for his Bar Mitzvah. He taught him all the prayers, Torah and Haftorah for the Bar Mitzvah. If you have a Bar or Bat Mitzvah coming up, I would highly recommend using Dan.

My 8-year-old daughter has resisted learning Hebrew, and we switched to individual tutoring to keep her making progress. I wouldn't say there's been a sea change in her attitude, but Dan is patient with her and she seems to be progressing. I appreciate the absence of tantrums. We switched from Biblical to modern Hebrew; Dan has been quite flexible with her.

He helped my nephew with ASVAB. He only had a week to prepare and Dan helped him a lot. After a week of intensive studying and lessons with him almost everyday, my nephew passed the ASVAB! He received a score of 54 which is a dramatic increase from any of the tests and his highest score to date! He went in the tutoring session with a score of 1% and improved to the 30s and then ended in the 50s. Quite an improvement! And Dan is the biggest factor in it!
