Personal Statement

I grew up loving learning and my teachers in public schools in rural Virginia, and then continued my passion for drama and the ancient Mediterranean in college, which meant learning Ancient Greek at Yale and specializing in it at Stanford. The language and teaching it have become a life-long passion, and I continue to seek ways to share the delights of Ancient Greek with others.
