During our lesson Alvin taught me statistics and we discussed spreadsheets. Alvin helped me to determine what my weakness is. He developed a lesson plan to help me become for familiar with spreadsheets. Alvin is a wealth of knowledge and very patient. I am currently taking two classes that involve the SPSS program. I had zero idea what to do when it came to this program and had a large assignment to do so I was freaking out! I messaged Al and first of all, he replied within less than 30 minutes. Al went above a beyond to help me with my assignment. He sent me emails about SPSS to help me before our tutoring session, looked at my assignment on his own so he got a better understanding of how to help me, and even spent extra time after our tutoring session to help me finish my assignment over the phone! Al was very patient with me as I had a hard time understanding at first, but after his clear explanations of the concepts, I felt so much better about my assignments and working with SPSS. He is funny, personable, and definitely knows what he is doing. I will 100% be calling Al when I need help again!

Wow! This was my first experience getting a tutor from WyzAnt. I'm so glad they set me up with Alvin! Going into this I was so nervous, sad, frustrated, angry, and felt not so smart. Before the session, I called Alvin to give him a run down of what I needed help with. For the session, he was on time and extremely helpful! He explained how to use SPSS and how to run the analysis!
