During the session, Alex was given me a problem to solve, and we try to solve the problem together. I like the way he teach me, where he let me think how to solve particular problem that will help me developed a logic and better understanding of that topic. We were collaborating to solve the question until we reached the final solution that makes the lesson more interesting.

I reached out to about 4-5 tutors that all replied to me saying the content of my assignments are over their heads, but this tutor was different. He tackled the material like a true professional of what he does and guided me in completing my assignment. I was starting from about as close to 0 as you can and still he made an A student out of me!!

Dr.Alex is an expert at breaking down programming problems and helping me visualize solutions clearly. As someone who just started using C++, he guided me in creating clean, efficient solutions, significantly improving my problem-solving skills and coding proficiency. He is also more than happy to review important concepts such as understanding data structures (vectors, linked lists), pointer allocation or working in the stack vs heap. Thanks to our lessons, I now approach C++ programming with greater confidence in coming up with my own solutions to complex problems. Alex was very helpful in my theory of computation course; many of the theoretical concepts were difficult to understand and apply, but Alex took his time in explaining things, was great about answering all of my questions, and was very detailed in his teaching. He encourages me to make steps on my own, and corrects me and explains how and where I might have gone wrong. He is a great teacher, and I would recommend him to anyone!

Alex was great at helping me prepare for my meta interview. We reviewed data structure and algorithm problems, and he was extremely helpful when teaching me about graphs. I didn't have a grasp on how to work with graphs before him, and he was very clear with his explanation, breaking the problem down. He let me approach the problem first and guided me towards the solution, giving me hints when I was stuck and letting me know when I was on the right track. If I was tackling a large part of the problem, he would ask me if I could break it down and tackle that first, without giving me the answer. This combination of letting me figure it out, while also explaining the concepts was instrumental in my now deep understanding of graphs. He also gave me some other problems to work through in our sessions, and he was very helpful in all of them. With his help, I was able to get through the first round of interviews at meta, and I will definitely be asking for his help so I can prepare for the second round of interviews.

Even though I gave him little notice, Alex was able to smoothly and efficiently guide me through a complicated area of artificial intelligence theory. I was able to catch up on the material quickly and feel confident as a student in this area moving forward. I'm very grateful to have worked with him. Would highly recommend his services.

Alex is a very good tutor, he immediately was able to get us started on a problem and as we walked through it, identifying where I was struggling. He explained things well and we would move on once I understood what specific part I had been stuck on. He's very laid back and down-to-earth, very easy to get along with and very personable.
