Nice guy. He's clear on his grading. Gives extra credit. Demands you do the work on time. Cisco hard and he wants to make sure you know it for your future and career. I appreciate he actually tries to teach it not just give you a pass.
240 great class | |
I'm taking his class online. He is absolutely no help whatsoever. He seems to view helping students and answering Email as an optional experience. I wish I could say the the quiz and test questions were straight out of the TestOut material, then I would know how to answer the questions. His questions are frequently from not from anything that we've covered. Then, we're not able to see how the test is scored so that we know which questions we got right or wrong. I too, am only passing the class by spending an extraordinary amount of time teaching myself the material.
Incredible guy. Great cit240 class. The class discussions are awesome
nice guy. I'm taking the Cit 240 class. It's one the best classes I've had at BYU-I.Our class leads the discussions. Cisco books are written poorly so I've struggled with the book. Armstrong will help you with anything. Armstrong is limited to his teaching style when it comes to Cisco. If he didn't teach this style then students would be lost when dealing with Cisco in the future. He wants you succeed and be able to trouble shoot. This class is worth it
Great teacher. Doesn't put up with whiners. You'll learn Cisco or you'll fail.. you'll learn quickly if this is a good career choice or noT. Armstrong knows his stuff which I can't say for the other professors in the department
Took his CIT 240 class online. He has provided literally zero feedback on any of the graded assignments. The course material is straight out of the CISCO CCNA materials which makes it easy to search for help online and youtube. He will respond to emails pretty quickly but he does not participate in the class discussion boards at all. If you are good at working on your own and finding your own answers to problems then you'll do fine. If you are looking for someone to teach you the subject matter you won't find that here. I have an A so far in the class but I'd give him zero credit for that, lots of late nights watching and learning from youtube Cisco instructors did it for me. |
