About this Course
Kirche ist nicht nur eine theologische, sondern auch eine durch und durch historische Größe. Kirche, Theologie, selbst das Glaubensbekenntnis – all das hat seine Geschichte, die Geschichte eines Traditionsprozesses. Die Reflexion auf diesen Prozess, auf Kontinuitäten, Verwerfungen, Brüche und Neuaufbrüche in der Geschichte des Christentums gehört zum Arbeitsprogramm der Historischen Theologie. Sie ist nicht weniger Theologie als die übrigen theologischen Disziplinen, arbeitet aber mit der historischen Perspektive auf die Dinge. Der Kurs „Einführung in die Kirchengeschichte“ gibt einen grundlegenden Einblick in Fragestellungen und Methoden des Fachs. Anhand ausgewählter Fragestellungen und Persönlichkeiten wird ein Überblick über 2000 Jahre Kirchengeschichte gegeben.Created by: RWTH Aachen University
