This design objective is to cover the four communicative skills required to learn a foreign language—reading, writing, listening, and speaking. You will also learn numerous words and become familiar with the a-b-c’s of Arab culture, as well as the best ways to approach Arabic speakers. You will be introduced to some types of non-verbal communication that are popular in the Arab region, which you are expected to know. Since this course is a doorway to the Arabic language, we will teach you the shapes and sounds of the Arabic letters as well. Arabic is a member of the Semitic language family.
