As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water and basic knowledge of safety considerations
• Comfortable in deep water and basic ability to use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, tread water without hands - 2 min, etc.)
• Experience working with or teaching children preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
• 18+ years of age
