Personal Statement

I offer personalized, one-on-one tutoring for all Physics and most Mathematics courses.

I have an MS in physics (astrophysics) from the University of Pittsburgh, and and BS in physics with mathematics from Bucknell University.

I have taught physics and mathematics as a college instructor and as a personal tutor for almost a decade. My favorite part of teaching has always been working with students one-on-one, so I love tutoring.

I have an undergraduate degree in Physics and a graduate deg...

Reviews

Elizabeth is working with my junior in high school on math and physics. She handles any questions with patience and explains the material in a more comprehensive way than my daughter's teachers. Highly recommend!
- Nancy R. from Teaneck, NJ
Elizabeth did an amazing job with my daughter, an AP Physics student. Her explanations were simple and on point. My daughter especially liked that she did not have to explain how her school teacher approached the subject, Elizabeth just taught her the best way possible.
- Kelly A. from Woodcliff Lake, NJ

Elizabeth patiently worked through Physics problems including finding the power and energy of a fire with me. She explains the different steps in a way that I found very helpful for my understanding of the content and I enjoyed the lesson which is extremely important. She was supportive and positive and helped me enjoy physics more than I did before.
- Pauline K. from Los Angeles, CA
The class was a college level upper division linear algebra class. Other tutors had reviewed the homework and said they couldn't help. We found Elizabeth and she is wonderful - knows the material and very good tutor.
- Eileen B. from Medford, OR
is very good at explaining stuff and is patient in when I don't understand something that was said she will find a different way to explain to make sense
- Megan M. from Pittsburgh, PA
Patient, accessible, and really helped me through understanding and applying Physics with an online course that offers little support. GameChanger! Worth every penny.
- Pamela M. from Chicago, IL
Explained everything very thoroughly and nicely, and helped me understand concepts (Fourier series and transform, differential equations, etc?) better. Thank you!
- Sasha R. from Chicago, IL
Elizabeth got me through Linear Algebra. She always explained things clearly and made sure I understood them. She?d work through the same problem multiple times if i needed it. 10/10 recommend
- Kirsten L. from Newport News, VA
She is very patient and explains everything very clearly. I had a lot of questions about foundational topics and I now feel way better prepared for what we are seeing now. Highly recommended.

Elizabeth has worked with both of my girls for over two years on physics, chemistry, and pre-calculus. She is able to patiently explain topics they found confusing in school in ways that allow them to feel confident and master the concepts. As a result, they have achieved solid As in their STEM classes. Highly recommend her!
- Sharon K. from Pittsburgh, PA
My son?s tutor made Physics concepts easy to understand. Time went fast for him - he was encouraged and felt more confident after the lesson. Highly recommend!
- Julie L. from Export, PA
Elizabeth is an amazing tutor. She explains my calculus concepts with such clarity. I couldn?t have gotten through this semester without her. Ne t semester I plan on having her for Calculus and Physics.
- Garvin Y. from Jersey City, NJ
Elizabeth is working with my daughter on HS physics. She says that Elizabeth explains the concepts in a way that she better understands than her teacher at school. It is helping her be less intimidated by the subject matter.
- Sharon K. from Pittsburgh, PA
Elizabeth was a great tutor for my daughter. She was very knowledgeable and able to jump right into the subject matter. Her teaching was clear and my daughter was able to understand the material they worked on after just the first session! I would use her again. Thank you!
- Tammy C. from Pittsburgh, PA
She taught me the fundamentals of MCMC, Bayes theorem and its physical significance of the same. She was patient and was more than willing to explain concepts again.
- Raghavendran R. from Stanford, CA
Very patient with me and made me think on my own. Nice tutor and is knowledgeable in a lot of topics I presented. Glad I came across this tutor because sometimes its hard to find a good match. People teaching methods are different.
- Megan B. from Chicago, IL
Elizabeth broke down all of the aspects of the materials that we went over. She went into detail on things I did not understand. Even though I needed more practice, she was willing to help me along the way.
