Personal Statement

I attend John Carroll University, where I am working towards a double major in Mathematics and Economics. When I was in high school, I worked with a local program through which I taught students in eighth grade about career awareness and citizenship. I now work with students in fourth grade, helping them increase their skills in social studies. To do this, I create lesson plans that guide students towards meeting their goals each week. I've also helped adults study for, and earn, their GED. I love all kinds of tutoring, and my favorites are math and writing. I see an obvious correlation between art and math.
