Volt is immediately hiring for (Bilingual - Spanish) Environmental Health and Safety Specialist in Torrance, CA.

This is a Full-Time/Direct Hire opportunity.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Compensation: $80-90k Annual Salary

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.  

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years of professional EHS experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills (required).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, Cal-OSHA, EPA regulations and best practices.
• Experience in incident investigation, hazard assessment, and compliance reporting.
• Excellent communication, training, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and environmental inspection software.
• Ability to thrive in a teamwork-oriented, value-driven environment.

As a Environmental Health and Safety Specialist you will:

• Manage OSHA and Cal-OSHA compliance and collaborate with company management.
• Develop, deliver, and monitor health and safety training programs for all employees.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
• Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain material safety data sheets (MSDS) and hazardous material reporting.
• Organize and conduct annual evacuation drills and coordinate property inspections.
• Maintain compliance records and stay current with EHS regulations.
• Work collaboratively with EHS peers across the organization.
• Plan, deliver, and monitor required training programs (safety procedures, emergency response, first aid, etc.).
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
• Implement lift tasks and monthly safety initiatives.
