About this Course

El curso inicia con una introducción que presenta definiciones importantes en el área de las bases de datos, algunos datos históricos relevantes, herramientas para diseñar, crear, administrar bases de datos y el modelo relacional que permite crear modelos físicos a partir de estas. Posteriormente, se presentan conceptos de bases de datos relacionales relacionados con el lenguaje SQL como creación, modificación, eliminación de tablas, inserción actualización, eliminación de datos, consultas, subconsultas anidadas, vistas, funciones, procedimientos almacenados, disparadores, consultas recursivas y consultas OLAP. Finalmente, se presentan conceptos relacionados con el diseño de bases de datos mediante el modelo entidad relación y procesos de normalización exponiendo desde la primera forma normal hasta la cuarta forma normal.
