Hello! I was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I am a classically trained musician, although I embrace and enjoy listening/playing all types of music. In 2015 I have received a full scholarship to study at Western Illinois University for my bachelor's degree. Four years later, I have been accepted with a full scholarship to study at Manhattan School of Music for my Master's degree. After graduation, I have applied further for the Professional Studies Program, from which I have graduated in May 2022. My life-long passion for chamber music and solo repertoire pushes me to continue exploring the secrets of violin technique and interpretation. Since the beginning of my studies at MSM, I have been chosen as the concertmaster for various cycles and performances under maestro George Manahan. Over the years, I have participated in various national competitions and olympiads in which I received many awards. I gave recitals and concerts as a soloist with the School of Music and the Philharmonic orchestras of both Romania and the U.S. For beginning students, I usually like to start from the ground and build up based on the student's preferred musical path. I will be introducing the Suzuki Method books, where the student can start from the very basics of playing the violin, just like I learned when I was in the early stages. There are a dozen consecutive Suzuki books, which I own and will be happy to share with all my students. In some cases, I highly recommend keeping an open line of communication with the legal guardians, so they can keep track of the progress.
