TLA is an internationally renowned, federally accredited English as a Second Language School. The English Summer camp takes place at Wagner College in Staten Island and welcomes international campers age 13-18 from Europe. Their schedule includes English classes in the morning and afternoon visits to local attractions and excursions to Liberty Island, Ellis island, the MET, Wall Street, Empire state Building, The Edge and many more. We seek to hire Cultural Ambassadors and Activity Leaders to serve as chaperones and supervisors to our international campers. TLA SUMMER ACTIVITY LEADER JOB REQUIREMENTS
- You are legally authorized to work in the US and have access to reliable
transportation
- You possess native speaker-like English proficiency and fluency
- You are familiar with New York City tourism destinations, attractions,
history and culture.
- You are energetic and fit, willing to spend significant time in outdoor
activities, walking around Manhattan and NYC boroughs and use MTA
- You are outgoing, communicative and eager to learn about other cultures.
- You have both visual and textual attention to detail
- You have a strong inclination for customer service and for helping others
- You are organized, punctual and possess strong work ethics
- You are willing and able to work weekend and/or evening shifts, if required
- You are available for background check and fingerprinting prior to
employment
