Job Description
Omnia is an auction gallery specializing in jewelry, watches, coins, currency, silver, art, and memorabilia that is seeking a research cataloger with strong knowledge in coins, currency, jewelry, and watches. At times, the position will also include research and cataloging of other types of inventory and specialty collections.
A Cataloger is primarily responsible for organizing, researching, assigning estimates of value, and writing descriptions for various types of inventory handled by the auction gallery.
Cataloger position requires the following attributes:
Knowledge, experience, familiarity, and competency with the inventory within their scope of responsibility
Excellent organizational skills
Extreme attention to detail
Trustworthy
Honest
Strong work ethic (self-starter, motivated & focused on task)
Able to work independently & complete assigned, deadline driven tasks (without chatter or distracting others)
Proficient in the use of computers, common software applications & the Internet
Capable of research
Stable, documented work history (Extremely important)
Excellent spelling and grammar skills
21 years of age or older
Non-smoker
Listed as a full-time position, although part-time may be available.
