As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water and knowledgeable about safety considerations
• Ability to navigate deep waters and utilize watercraft such as a surfboard, paddleboard, or kayak
• Successfully pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water without using hands, etc.)
• Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is advantageous but not required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
