Pros: Very knowledgeable
Easy to talk to/answer questions
Interesting material
Cons: Tough exams
Got an A in the course, but it wasn't easy. The course has a lot of material to remember for each exam, and you've gotta study extra hard for the exams' essay questions, but if you study thoroughly ahead of time, an A is achievable. The weekly quizzes help keep you caught up with the current material, and if you do well on them, you'll likely do well on exam-type questions. I found what helped me get a good grade was that I found the material really interesting, so I would advise you take the class if you're interested in the subject. But overall, Gurney is a good professor and is actually interested in teaching her students.
