About this Specialization

What are the intersections between the climate challenge and human health? How can we as individuals and communities use our experiences to address climate change? What does it mean to be a climate-smart leader in healthcare? In this three course specialization, you develop climate fluency skills to integrate climate change science and solutions into your personal and professional life. Focused on healthcare professionals, administrators, students, trainees, and anyone interested in the intersection between health and climate, this specialization will teach you skills for the present moment and how to engage and successfully navigate future challenges.\\n\\nTaught by a diverse group of climate and environmental scientists, leadership experts, and healthcare professionals, this course series will give you a holistic approach to tackling climate and health challenges. Beginning with Climate Science for Everyone, you\'ll learn the foundational theories of climate science that will lay the groundwork for understanding solution generation and implementation in the second and third courses, Environmental Leadership (a general introductory course) and Climate Health for Healthcare Professions. By the end of this course series, you\'ll have the confidence to integrate climate-informed approaches to patient care and pursue systems-level improvements that address climate change and its impact on human health.
