AWESOME TEACHER! His accent is awesome!
}PERSONALITY: He is extremely funny! Sometimes he would make musical references that only a few people would catch... Like when he mentioned GWAR!!! (Awesome band by the way!) He is super easy going, has experience and he is friendly.
}LECTURES: When he lectures he talks about life experiences with computers. He also talks about cars a lot since he enjoys them. To quote him, "I will use Google any chance I get... BECAUSE I CAN!" He likes to show you websites and sometimes silly little videos. He will also give you the powerpoints if you ask for them.
}EXAMS: All exams are putting theories into practice and a lot of definitions. He did curve for my class, but I am not sure if he will in the future.
}ASSIGNMENTS: Two written assignments (About 1 to 1 1/2 pages) about a viewed in class. Easy points! Don't turn it in late because he deducts points!
}EXTRA CREDIT: Randomly gives out extra credit at the beginning of class so be ON TIME. Some of the extra credit could be worth a lot.
}ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Know the SWOT analysis. It's on the first exam and he gives extra credit for it! Grade Received: A

This guy is funny and smart. He speaks perfectly fine but sometimes you'll catch his accent, mostly every time he says "understand". He talks a lot about cars, but he also knows a lot about other stuff. You'll learn many great things from this class, even though it might not deal with marketing. This class has 2 midterms and a final and 2 homework assignments. The test is a little hard but he gives a big curve. BLackboard wasn't working for us so he couldnt post the powerpoint but if you bring a flash drive he will give you the powerpoints. I never used the book but i did go on the book's website and used their materials there. He sometimes give pop quizzes but the points are for extra credit, and its ALOT. My class was once a week from 6 - 9:50pm, it was long but he made it interesting. Attendance isnt taken but the homework is based off a movie in class. I would show up for an hour or two, then leave. If there is an assignment or pop quiz he will give it to you in the beginning. He gets the class to participate and you will forsurely laugh at least once in his class, hes very funny. You dont need the book just go on www.cengage.com, click southwestern, then click marketing, then principles of marketing, then find the cover of the book and click on the student companion site. Study the flashcards, they are important, then go through the powerpoints. Grade Received: A

Awesome class! Brussell is funny, down to earth and you can tell he really wants you to learn. We go behind schedule a few time because he expended on things like his experience with GM's marketing of the Hummer. Overall his exam are a killer but you once you figure out how to study you'll do ok. The class had 3 exams, some assignments and no group projects. I recommend his class if you can get it! I am an engineering major with a minor in business and Brusselle's class was an unexpected surprise. From toyota's lean manufacturing to vw's strategy, I am constantly dazzling my other profs with the knowledge I gained from his class. What's amazing about his lectures is that you don't have to make an effort to pay attention. His impressive knowledge and passion for teaching make this class one that no one should miss. Don't take my (our) word for it, check it out for yourself!: http://home.att.net/~tbrusselle

Awesome class & awesome professor! Really worked hard, learned a lot, and had fun! Brusselle is hillarious (and sarcastic) and really knows his stuff. Everythink is about strategy and his exam really need strategy to pass!!! I worked so hard for that class but I definitely recommend it -- you won't fall asleep!

Proffessor Bruselle is an excellent instructor! As mentioned earlier however he is definitely not an easy A. There were 4 writing assignments all of which were pretty easy. There is the major paper or presentation due as well. The key to the 15 page paper or 30 minute presentation is start early, find a good group, and ask ask ask ask Prof. Brusselle questions. He is very easy to speak with and he gives you a lot of advice on what he is looking for. The class environment is extremely fun. He still gives extra credit for trivia questions (majority of it is on current events) and his examples and knowledge is incredible. This class is very interesting and you learn a lot. Be warned however that his tests are kind of tricky. A lot of the questions are design to test your understand of the material and not just definition base. There were 3 tests for the quarter. The key to the tests is to study the book and use the CD to get some practice questions. I found that this worked and it helped me do well in his class. Overall if you are shopping around for a cool and fun MHR 301 instructor then add him to your basket!

TAKE THIS CLASS! Prof Brusselle's course was a lot of fun (considering the fact that it IS management). He talks a lot, but everything he says is of interest. His examples are great, and he's just a riot altogether. So if you're interested in actually LEARNING about management and business in general, take this class. The only complaint I had was in regards to his tests... which tend to be a little on the tricky side. The wording can kind of throw you off, and he's stubborn to admit that some of his test questions really SUCK! He's a great guy though, and although he likes to whine about students bugging him all the time during office hours, he truly enjoys helping/teaching. Brusselle is energetic, intelligent, downright hilarious, and his little French accent is just SEXY!!! He's an odd duck, but you'll like him. TAKE HIM!!!!!

Total genius, the dude knows about everything! class was packed and students often had to get there own chairs and even though it was a night class he kept us all interested! You'll really learn alot but make sure to do the assignments, he only gave two but they were worth tons of pionts! Also, some of the stuff is repetitive if your taking MHR 318 except he explains it better (which helped me for 318!) Totally recommend!!!

This guy is awesome. You should take him even if don't need to take this class. He'll show you what a real teacher should be like. He's funny, gives examples that stick in your head, and goes beyond the material. He has a love of learning that is infectious. Though his lectures are engrossing, they don't cover all of the test material i.e. definitions, so you would want to read the book. This is fine with me since I would rather hear his very relevant stories than be listening to a bunch of definitions. This makes the lecture time go by much faster. In fact, the lectures are so cool it's hard to miss one.

His class was a royal kick in the ass! This was one of the hardest B's I've had to work for but the guy rocks! He's like a walkng encyclopedia, my group tried to BS him on the presentation and he nailed us after class. He was cool about it though. I totally recommend him but make sure you read the book!!!

Brusselle is a very good teacher. He knows what's going on in the world everyday, and he don't care about that lakers ahahaha (Damn Kings, why can't you make your free throws?). But anyway, he gives out extra credit every day in class by answering a couple questions that have to do with the news today and some management terms. He encouraged students to listen about the news. That man actually convinced me to change my homepage to CNN.com, and its still at CNN.com! There are a couple essays you have to turn in, but nothing hard at all. You can basically answer the essays like they were short answer questions and still receive full credit. There is also a group project which was very interesting, but did take a lot of time. There are also a couple tests, but all multiple choice so just read the chapters and you should be fine. The most beautiful thing about how he teaches the class is that... you can't sleep! I swear, I usually sleep in every class, but in this class he keeps everything upbeat with interesting stories and news that keep you wide awake and urging for him to go into detail more (seriously, students were doing that). He's also a computer guy so I got to learn a lot from him about the tech industry. He's hilarious also, making jokes n' stuff about people. There is a downside though... you can't bring in chinese food into his room. I bought Panda Express the second day of class and he told me either to throw it away or eat it outside, so I had to leave the room and eat outside for like 15 minutes cuz I didn't wanna waste my food. Damn orange chicken... why does it have to taste so good?

I consider Thierry Brusselle to be the best professor that I have ever had (and I've been going to school for a long time). He is very enthusiastic, explains concepts well, gives great examples, has a wealth of knowledge and is extremely interesting. He's what I wish that every professor could be like. I got something out of his class that I haven't from any other class I've taken: a desire to learn more about the subject. Everyday that we had class I looked forward to going to it. After leaving most class sessions I had a desire to look up/research in further detail the things we had discussed.I agree with the people that said that the class is not an easy A, it's not. I did get an A, but I also put a lot of effort into the class. But I think that it was definitely worth it. Don't take it if you are looking for an easy A. I HIGHLY recommend Professor Brusselle.

Brusselle is the best teacher I have had so far, including other colleges. He is very interesting and knowledgeable. I lookied forward to going to his classes, and it was an 8:00 PM class!! His lectures are funny and he relates real life examples the material, instead of lecturing straight from the book, like many professors. His tests are fair, if you read the chapters and pay attention in class you'll do fine. Definately a professor to take. You won't regret it!!

I'm a CIS major and I learned more about computers in Brussell's class than I did in CIS. We totally got into DOS in this class which at first seemed lame but ends up being cool if you like programming. Brusselle even got into Qbasic with some of us after class to see how they used to program old video games. We had TWO (yes 2!) exams in this class. The first exam was easy if you showed up to class, you had to use Powerpoint to present a DOS menu program (all Batch files). Again, really cool stuff for CIS majors. Also, this guy loooooooooves Excel! He went into Macros, if statements, absolute and relative cells, and circular statemetns. I just finished the final! It's a take home about brand segmentation and positioning for a shampoo, exactly like what we did in class! Also, there's a Simons project about psychografic segmentation that's a bit confusing and time confusing because the softward sucks, is only available in the library, and the librarians are clueless about the whole thing! The ta will help you though. You'll learn a lot in this class and feel like it was easy. This guy is really cool, totally knows computers and loves his job. Very highly recommend!

Great instructor. Keeps class interesting. Discusses current events related to marketing. Gives quizzes, which help borderline grades, before every class, but the quiz material is easy - like the name of the author of the textbook, and current events that he discusses in class. Just pay attention in class and you're set. Midterms and final are easy, being that you actually study the review materials he gives you - on that note, he tests exactly what he gives you for review.

This is a great teacher, he gives cool examples of what he's talking about (but won't be on the test) He gives extra credit quizzes everyday about current events or whatever he's feeling. Recommended if your taking hard classes to even out your schedule. If your lazy and you want at least a C take him, you have to really try to fail this guys class.

Wow! This dude is incredible! The only guy who treats you like a real person when you see him during office hour! He gets tuff on idiots who tend to waiste the class's time (like the one who wrote that nasty feedback and probably flunked his class). The group project is pretty cool -- we killed the guy in our group who flake out on us (probably the same closeted idiot who gave him the flaming feedback). I recommend him to anyone who wants to know marketing without falling asleep. Oh, also, I got an A in his class unlike some other morons... Don't listen to this cretin and ask your friends about him, you'll see!

Great teacher!!! Talks alot about interesting and funny things related to the subject. He's an enterpreneur so he knows what he's talking about. If you have lots of knowledge on marketing, technology stuff, then you know what he's talking about. Even if you don't, he'll explain it to you. Read the textbook at some point that he tells you. Quizes are not base on IBM at all. He'll ask you about anything: geography, politics, etc. Don't have to panic. Midterm easy. No homeworks. Just take notes to his thousands of marketing examples that relates to the subject.Get this guy, worth it!!
