 Pros: Good understanding of built environment
Cons: Unless you talk a lot, he won't remember who you are. He will just recognize your face

 Pros: Super laid back. Will work on you with anything you need help on. Uses positive reinforcement and gives good constructive criticism.

Hersh is awesome! He is very lenient and understanding. Also, he knows everything about his subject. If you ask him for help at the last minute, he'll show you shortcuts on how to do your work so you don't fall behind.
ENV 101 becomes reaaaaaaaaaaaaally stressful towards the end if you procrastinate since the whole class is centered around one project you have to turn in at the end. Also, attend the workshops and ask for help because if you don't learn how to use Adobe's programs, you're screwed.

Hersh is a great professor. He is way too nice and students take advantage of that. He is an awesome professor and don't ever bs in front of him because he knows everything. I would recommend to take him but don't take advantage of his personality.

 At first, this teacher may seem like a breeze, but as class moves on you will discover how much work it involves. He creates an enviroment where he is available to help you, however sometimes he might be in his office or talking to some other faculty in thier office. When You are nearly done with the group project, he will start to suggest ideas to change your project completely. During Presentations, sometimes he will criticize something in your project that he praised, there were a lot of WTF moments in this class. However he is a great teacher and I have learned so much in this class. Grade received A

 Great teacher. He acts like he knows everything because he does. He is especially good if you are a URP major and you have him for something other than ENV 101. He likes to get to know his students and likes to shoot the sh*t. HIGHLY RECOMENDED Grade Received: A

 I really enjoyed this class. As a student that has never taken an URP class, Hersh makes the classes interesting and you will learn so much in one qtr. Hers is also very down to earth and easy to talk to. The only thing that is not so great about his class is he shows these EXTREMELEY long, out of date, videos. They are terrible...but other than that...it is the BEST class.

 Hersh Farberow is an honest professor with fair expectations. He generally makes you realize that what you're about to embark upon is not merely an additional 4-5 years of school, but that it's the foundation of your career and yourself. All in all, you learn if you ask and listen. He's a good professor, and you can't avoid him anyway. Basically, he gets my Ebert and Roper two thumbs up.

 This hippie teacher loves to rip apart every idea by every student. He is not open to new ideas and thinks he is a god. He also does not realize that in a class of 70, he needs to talk so more than just the first row of people can hear him. He was not hard to approach for help, except that he ripped apart the ideas the students had.

 Hersh is a funny lecturer but is not very open to ideas other than his own. He think's he's always right and doesn't give the student much credit for an idea. He basically rips apart everything you put up and plays favorites with girls that he likes or people that he knows. He grades tough and sometimes unfairly.
