Cons: Nothing
I'm currently taking MHR 320 right now and all I can say are positive aspects about Dr. Deborah Brazeal, she knows what she's talking about when it comes to entrepreneurship. She explains in detail about the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and gives you a open-mind about this field. If your ever considering to be a entrepreneur take this course with this professor and I promise you that you won't be disappointed. The class consists of 3 projects: 2 group projects and 1 individual
Easy to talk to
Super Nice
Always willing to help her students
Fun and upbeat
Cons: None
Professor Brazeal is a great professor. She is knowledgeable in all aspects of entrepreneurship and is always willing to help. There was no attendance in the class but honestly it was so enjoyable I really couldn't miss a class. The class consisted of two group projects (very easy) and one entrepreneur interview (also very easy). She is always available to help you via e-mail, office hours, in class etc and makes these projects extremely simple. I highly recommend anyone needing this class take it with her, you won't regret it.
Cons: none
This is a very easy class. You only show up to class 3 times and you turn in a journal online through email once a week. Journals are 1 page single spaced about your internship and other stuff. Pretty easy. Shes very nice and understanding and works with you if there are issues.
5 work Journals (10pts each) 50 pts
Employer Evaluation 50 pts
Project & Presentation 100 pts
3 Meetings 50 pts
Cons: Some of the activities seem very odd
The class was entertaining, and there is a lot of work, but some of it is as simple as writing to let her know you finished the assigned work and it's really about what and how you think rather than forcing you to memorize things in a book. Fun to listen to other business ideas.
-Attendance not mandatory
Cons: -Class is basically the exact same thing as MHR 301
-You pay full price to see her half the time or less (not sure if this is really a con for all of us)
Easy professor and she's very nice and chatty. There's 2 exams, 1 paper, and group project. Her paper is really easy to do, it was originally 2 papers but she missed the first day of class so we only have to do one paper. Exams are extremely easy as long as you study the subjects in the textbook. Group project is super easy since she does not really have a guideline on what she wants so go creative on it. You don't really need to buy the required text since you can get the same thing from an older mhr book and she got ppt online. Take her if you want an A.
Cons: Exam 2 was harder than the first so be sure to do good on both to improve your grade.
I took Professor Brazeal during the Spring quarter of 2011 and I must say if you are going to take MHR 318 or any other classes in the MHR department take her. She's really friendly, nice, and gives opportunities for students who need the grade. The class consisted of two exams, two assignments (though 1 was turned into an extra credit assignment since she was sick the first day), and 1 group project which is really easy. Overall I recommend this professor if you are going to take this class as it would be one of your easiest.
}Three major assignments due for MHR 321. Creative group presentation (group of 3 to 6 students), innovation papers, and your journals.
}I believe Dr. Brazeal is the only professor teaching MHR 321. Easy class. No one has ever failed this course.
