Personal Statement

I earned bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics and joined a doctoral program where I supported myself by teaching calculus. I decided to switch to the real world, but first I joined the Peace Corps and taught at the University of Malawi (in Africa). Then I had a career as a corporate computer programmer.
