About this Course

This course is geared toward operating a multi-use, public facility, similar to Madison Square Garden (NYC), GIANTS Stadium (Sydney, AUS) and Utilita Arena Birmingham (UK). Multi-event arenas play host to sporting events, concerts, conferences, et al. and must be managed ethically and efficiently in order to be profitable and satisfy the millions of stakeholders served. This course will introduce topics such as contracts, sponsorship, security, insurance, public relations, broadcasting, media, fan engagement, and others that guide informed facility and management decision making. Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to define a multi-event facility enterprise; describe several advantages of in-house and for-hire management operations; discuss how to use data to make informed management decisions; and list several key event management critical functions.
