Personal Statement

I love music, dancing, movies, sports (especially association football/soccer), and getting out into nature and up mountain peaks. Hailing from America, I have also lived in Great Britain and the Dominican Republic, traveled to great cities and far out into the countryside of places like Kenya, and thrown myself into learning about other cultures and languages, including studying international affairs at university. I chose to teach to inspire others on their language journey, work which I find both fulfilling and meaningful. Language is one of the most beautiful gifts we have as human beings. To be a part of another person's journey in English is a wonderful experience. I am a person that believes everyone needs moments in life where time slows down and everything else fades away. With that in mind, I have begun guiding adventure trips to get people into other cultures and up towering mountain peaks. Teaching is the foundation that allows me to pursue these other dreams.
