 The subjects he teaches are by far the most interesting for history classes, but he is VERY quirky. If you take his class, be prepared to download documents daily, do a lot of self teaching, and follow his learning ladder precisely. You'll probably have to look through 3 different documents for one little piece of information and you'll definitely be confused for the first few weeks. Great for independent learners. I like the topics, hate the teaching style.
