As an undergraduate engineering student (at Texas A&M, circa 1968-72) struggling in my required ‘Physics II’ class (Electricity and Magnetism, Light and Atomic Physics), I was literally saved by the patient tutoring (pro bono) and encouragement of an incredibly kind graduate student, who helped me master the material. He was Mark Larchez, who went on to a career of teaching and inspiring students. Mark had a profound influence on my life. 52+ years later, I still think of him, with admiration and appreciation, and will remember him for a lifetime. (NOTE: the ratings above are placeholders only, required in order for me to submit my comments - although "helpfulness" and "clarity" would be 5-Stars based on my experience of him. | |
Mark was the most influential person in my college life that led to me having a successful career. Without meeting him and his dedication to helping people learn, I would not be where I am today. Thank you Mark. |
