Great personality, but her way of teaching is so unclear and confusing. She speedruns her slides and skips a bunch of steps while doing work in class so you never know what's going on. You can ask questions and she'll answer them but not in-depth. At the beginning of the semester, she uploads her slideshows, but never the accompanying work, so they're basically useless. You can try and fill it in yourself but it's so hard to do that and actually pay attention/ absorb what she's saying. In the second half (maybe 2/3) of the semester, she started having classes available on Zoom and she would record and post the lectures after class, so that really helped. She always hosted exam review sessions where she would go over problems and the practice exams were very helpful for the actual ones.

One would think that at the university level, in a relatively basic class that many students are enrolled in, that the professor would be capable enough to get through a basic lecture without making several repetitive mistakes that cause confusion in the majority of the class, however with Professor Vines, this happens to be the case in nearly every lecture. Learning faulty approaches to basic concepts is nearly unavoidable. The TA seemed more knowledgable then her to be quite honest.
