 Prof. Betz is amazing! She is very knowledgeable and it is really fun to discuss culture with her. She works with you patiently and will do her best to help you understand the language. I found her teaching style easy to understand and follow. Very accessible by email. Just make sure to let her know if you're going to miss a class.

 Learning a foreign language takes time and the willingness to get involved. It's challenging but Chang Laoshi is extremely knowledgeable and understanding when it comes to teaching her native language. She will work with you individually teaching different methods until you feel comfortable. She's caring and patient and funny!

 Ms. Betz gives students an authentic education as she is a Chinese native. One of the best professors I've had! She expects students to do their homework and actively participate in class but that is truly for the students' benefit. If you don't put in the work you will not succeed.

 Pros: tons of staff to digest, interesting way of teaching, challenging
Cons: got to spend a lot of time reading
Professor betz is a great teacher, the best Chinse teacher I've ever had.
