Terrible teacher that wrote a poor book he uses is unable to explain subjects to students and when he receives a question he causes more confusion in the answer. Took his course with a tutor and still received low scores even with help on the take home work.

He is research-focused. An intro to ochem professor really should be teaching-focused. If he must teach the class having someone else make a more helpful ppt would go a long way to assisting the learning process. Currently, his ppts are just pics of his textbook, which should also be from a different source than the professor as his teaching style is, again, geared toward those already VERY knowledgeable on the subject, not novices, which we all are.

Pros: Very knowledgeable about Organic Chemistry. You could argue with him but you will almost always be wrong.
Cons: Has a difficult time explaining organic mechanisms to students who are new to the whole concept of reaction chemistry involving organic compounds and reagents.

Pros: You WILL learn organic, or you WON'T pass.
Cons: He's a dick. He is so condescending to his students. He really knows the subject but since it comes so naturally to him he has a very hard time explaining it in layman's terms.
