Passionate about his craft but takes his 210 course much too seriously for an intro class. Even if you show up for all his screenings and do impeccable work on his papers you’re lucky to pass. Quizzes were nearly impossible even with hefty studying. 80% of the class could barely manage over a 60 percent on weekly quizzes so he had to grade on a curvature. He is assigning and criticizing his class like it’s a graduate course. An intro to film aesthetics shouldn’t be as hard as a organic chemistry class.
