Best College Bathrooms?

We know that most colleges work hard to make the admission experience a memorable one for both students and their parents.  Students very often make their decision about which college to attend based on their college visit.  There are many factors that go into a terrific admissions visit, and most of us haven’t considered some of the details that are important. A recent contest sponsored by a higher education marketing firm, TargetX, sought the best college bathrooms in the country.  The results are in.

 The contest began when a staff member of the marketing firm wrote a blog post about some of the poor bathrooms he had encountered during college visits.  He claimed that prospective students and their parents might, legitimately, judge the school based on the impression that the visitors’ bathroom made.  The company took the idea and pursued it by asking schools to send in photographs of their prized restrooms.  Many schools participated.

 Here are the final results of the contest:

• Best small college bathroom: Birmingham-Southern College
• Best large university bathroom: University of Delaware
• Honorable mention for most unique fixture: Oklahoma Christian University
• Honorable mention for best color/graphics: Warner Pacific College
• Honorable mention for best décor: Hendrix College

 Grand Prize winners will receive a “Flushed Away” movie party pack for their staff.  Honorable mention staffs will receive TargetX t-shirts.
